Properties of our inks

Inkebara inks are water based. They contain no dissolvents or alcohol. They can be watered down and are mixable with each other, so you can experiment with own colors and shades.

Our inks have regular waterproofness. They can still be watered down. They are not permanent or documentary. They can be safely used for everyday's pen writting, calligraphy, pen drawing, etc.

Writting tools used with our inks do not require any special maintenance. For example if the ink dries in a pen that is open for a long time, you dissolve it by simply submerging the pen in water or washing the tip of the pen by running water. It will not happen that the pen cannot be scribbled anymore as with documentary inks. Brushes with dried ink can be simply washed in water.

Inkebara inks are made in several variants. The main division is to inks for fountain pens and calligraphic inks.

We have several basic colors that are thoroughly tested by our users. Then we have a vast amount of shades that can be made by mixing basic colors. These shades are created according to specific customer needs.

We constantly invent new colors. Even now we have multiple new shades distributed between our users for long time testing. Development of a new shade is alway a big challenge because we have to ensure that the new shade is of high quality and will last in the long run. We dedicate a lot of attention and time to testing of every new shade.

Watercolor

Inkebara watercolor is a unique handmade product for your watercolor flourish. The color was created in collaboration with

Inkebara watercolor has rich hues with interesting overlays that you won't find in other colors. It excels at even coverage even when highly diluted (it can even be diluted very heavily without stripping the color). It is liquid with a thick consistency, dilutable with water, and once dry, the color can be revived with water and painted with again.

The colours are stable and the color does not spoil once opened. Lovingly made in a glass container that is refillable. The lid features a pipette for easy use and applying color to the palette.

Fountain pen

Writing and pen drawing

During the development of inks for fountain pens, we put in the highest requirements on two basic parameters - the color and the comfort during writting.

In our selection, you can find inks of many colors which are suitable for fountain pens. They are water based and pen friendly. They dry reasonably fast on paper so they don't blur. The track is smooth, precise and it doesn't splotch. The pen with our ink slides pleasantly on the paper and writes very lightly. Closed pen does not dry out and it isn't necessary to scribble with it before every use.

Calligraphic ink has specific properties. It can be used with quills, redis pens or with a brush. Inkebara calligraphic inks are water based and can be arbitrarily mixed with each other to achieve a desired shade. They can be watered down to achieve required color saturation.

Brush can be used with all Inkebara inks. We suggest to verify suitability of your brushes with natural bristles.

Redis pen

With redis pen you can use ink for fountain pens or calligraphic ink. It always depends on a tip you use. We suggest to use a calligraphic ink for most tips.

Special pen

Calligraphy and pen drawing

There are pens with atypic tip or triggering mechanism. In these cases the best choice is fountain pen ink but it is always a matter of experimenting.

Drawing and painting

When creating with ink it always depends on how and with what you create. You can draw with a brush, a swab, a wooden tip, ... We can create an ink of any viscosity so it suits the best.
